I admit. Before hearing about SEO apps and site optimization field, I thought Google was incredible. I Googled everything from celebrities, to photography, to articles to strange gadgets and naively trusted the search outcomes. Then I heard about SEO products and a new business dedicated to site optimization, and my convictions changed. But even before my revelation, having done a bit of philosophical musings, I got a feeling that search engines, Google included, know far from all, and divulge to the users a fraction of what they know.

My Google experiences soon convinced me that Flikr is a higher quality image data bank, that with the assistance of RSS I can have quality news coverage without having to rummage through Google search retrieval (rummaging is more fitting than Google search), and human search is better administered by Facebook. It seems like whenever I search for obscure things on Google, the results are almost always inaccurate, to put it mildly. Try searching for SEO tools and other SEO connected subjects on Google and you are just about prepared to surrender your self-control. There are people who purchase SEO tools and use them to sell dresseson casino sites and such. What we have is junk that not only takes over the Internet but is also well ranked by search engines.

What is the public perspective on this? People Google SEO program reviews and will instead find irrelevant content. They get disappointed. So much for the “Internet fairness”. Does this mean that SEO product and service field is bad? Probably not.

The unethical users of SEO applications need to stop corrupting the Internet but it’s like ordering hackers to stop hacking. The sad thing about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the opportunity to be noticeable on the Web that is given to the average person like myself. For now people just have to treat them. We can only hope that Google will put more effort into finding the schemers abusing SEO software, and if Google doesn’t, the new Google will.
